CBT uses strategies to challenge unhelpful thinking and behavioural patterns. It is goal-focused and involves some work between sessions to help clients achieve the best results.
TEAM-CBT is a framework that pulls in both CBT techniques and other approaches (such as some psychoanalytic concepts) to find the best combination of techniques for a client. It focuses closely on any kind of unconscious resistance that may be preventing change and offers lots of different approaches to help challenge negative thoughts and behaviours.
I-CBT is a comprehensive framework designed for OCD (and BDD) that helps people to understand underlying obsessional doubts more fully and to learn not to be pulled into the obsessional stories that these doubts create.
RF-ERP involves learning techniques to disengage from compulsive rumination and to regain a sense of agency over this thinking pattern. It also involves psychoanalytic principles to understand the function of obsessions and core fears that underlie them.
